Artifact Viewers

Summary

Artifacts are the evidence operators use to trust or repair workflow state. Viewer surfaces should make the source document, generated output, and relevant metadata inspectable without asking operators to reconstruct provenance.

Problem

If review state only shows extracted fields, operators cannot judge whether the system misunderstood the source or the source itself is ambiguous.

Principle

Display the artifact next to the decision, and keep the artifact reference durable enough for later audit.

Platform Shape

Workflow artifacts provide shared references for case evidence. POA stores document interpretations and source-document links, while precon publishes canonical project documents and tracks provenance. The artifact viewer pattern bridges external bytes and internal state without letting UI code own storage rules.
